How to import a list of subscribers into an email?

You can upload your list of subscribers to InSend by downloading it from your CMS.

There're 2 options how it can be done:

• by creating a one-time email or a scheduled email at the Subscribers step
• or by uploading your contact base in Audience tab

Import subscribers into an email

Set the switch to “Import subscribers”. Click on the “Choose an Excel file” button and upload your file. If something is wrong with the file, you will receive an email asking you to fix the errors and follow up on the recommendations.

To speed up the process, please check the following points in advance:

• the file must be in the correct format (note the title)
• the file should not contain email addresses of the following types: test@test.com, 111@11.com, mary@gmEil.com, etc.

It is worth noting that it is not necessary to immediately launch an email to the downloaded database! Once you have successfully uploaded the file, the new contacts will be added to the existing ones in your feed.

Important! We take our own reputation and the reputation of our customers very seriously, so we strictly prevent attempts to send spam. The moderator may refuse to upload your file, or ask you to clarify the origin of the database, if they consider that the addresses were not collected with the help of your online store. For example, if you have a small online store with a visitor count of 500 people a day, and the domain has existed for less than a year, it is impossible to just download a database of 100,000 addresses and send an email.

Import contact base

Go to the Audience tab and in the right corner choose upload subscribers. 

You can load a list of subscribers from a file created by any table editor that supports the CSV format up to 20 MB.

The conditions for a CSV file should be like this.File format: CSVSeparator: comma (,) or semicolon(;)Encoding: UTF-8 or Windows-1251Column headers: optionalMaximum file size: 20 MB

If the field is named incorrectly, you must select it manually when uploading the file.

Properties in the header of the csv file are named with the prefix » custom_properties.»i.e.» custom_properties. KEY «, where KEY is the key of the properties. (This excludes the intersection of the names with the standard fields).

If errors occur when uploading the file, try selecting a different encoding from the drop-down list.

Need to upload a file with contacts to the email faster?

If you have a large number of contacts and want to download the file faster, we suggest removing unnecessary fields and keeping only one column with email addresses. This way, the upload process will take significantly less time for file processing.
