Recover Abandoned Carts Automation
All pre-made automations in InSend are aimed at different goals and can overlap. Run the ones that meet your goals. This will allow you to achieve maximum results.
The “Recover Abandoned Carts” automation will help you increase average order value and percentage of completed orders. Get those who abandoned their carts back to shopping.
Important! The pre-made web forms and email settings cannot be changed as they are part of the automation. This can lead to a violation of the logic of the automation.
If you want to change an element's settings, copy it and make changes in the duplicate.
The automation consists of 2 web forms and 5 emails. Below we will tell you in what sequence and to achieve what goals they need to be launched.
Email #1 90 minutes after abandoned cart
The email will be sent to all users who abandoned the products in the cart and left the site 90 minutes after the end of the session. The email will be received by customers who have not made an order before or those who have made a purchase more than 1 day ago.
Important! Emails triggered by the "Abandoned Cart" trigger will be sent to all customers with known mailing addresses.
Email #2 24 hours after abandoned cart
The next email will be sent 1 day later if the user has not placed an order. There's a warning added to the content that after 2 days the cart will be disbanded and other people will be able to order the products.
Attention. If the customer placed an order after leaving the cart, the automation stops. The new one will be launched after the repeated event and will start with "Email #1 90 minutes after abandoned cart"
Email #3 48 hours after abandoned cart
The last email from the automation comes in 2 days. Encourage the customer to make a purchase by reminding them that the cart will be canceled or by offering a limited-time discount.
Attention. If a client visits the site during the day and repeatedly leaves the cart, the email will be sent only 1 time per day. A limit on the number of emails sent has been added to the terms of each newsletter. This will avoid unsubscribing or adding to spam.
Additional automations in the "Recover Abandoned Carts" automation
We provide an opportunity to collect emails from those who have been on the site recently and have not yet placed an order or left their contacts in other webforms. You can run either a regular pop-up or a pop-up with gamification.
Webform "Send cart later?"
This is a regular popup that is shown to visitors whose email is unknown 300 seconds after the start of the session on the site and 30 seconds of delay on one page if there are any products in their cart.
An email with cart after pop-up "Send cart later?"
This email is configured to be sent after the "Send cart later?" web form and is sent immediately after the webform is filled.
After contacts of a person with products in cart got into InSend, an email chain with an abandoned cart, configured by the "Abandoned cart" trigger, will automatically turn on.
Web form with gamification "Wheel of fortune (Abandoned cart campaign)"
This web form is similar to the previous one, but with gamification which often works better for cold visitors. And also this web form is shown without time limits, as soon as a person has products in the cart.
Webform with gamification "Wheel of fortune (Abandoned cart campaign)"
This web form is similar to the previous one, but gamification has been added to it, which often works better for cold visitors. And also this web form is shown without time limits, as soon as a person has products in the cart.
Email after wheel of fortune for cart products (Abandoned cart campaign)
This email is configured to be sent right after the "Wheel of fortune (Abandoned cart campaign)" web form when winning and is sent immediately after the form is filled.
After contacts of a person with products in cart got into InSend, email with an abandoned cart, configured by the "Abandoned cart" trigger, will automatically turn on.
Important! All information about the products on your site is passed to InSend from the product feed. Make sure the feed is added to your account and works correctly.
The “Recover Abandoned Carts” automation converts up to 20% of abandoned carts into orders. Use reminders, and discounts, and also create a sense of urgency in order not to lose a client at the finish line.
We recommend running the “Abandoned View” or “Grow Your Mailing List” automation.
