Why are there fewer subscribers in the email for the segment than in the segment itself?

When you send a one-time or scheduled email to a visitor segment, you will sometimes find that there are fewer subscribers in the email than in the segment itself.

For example, there are 14 404 visitors in the From Google segment:

And there are only 4,381 subscribers on the email for this segment:

Why does is happens?

  1. The double-opt-in settings in your account do not allow you to send marketing emails to people who are not on your distribution lists. In this case, InSend will only send emails to visitors to the segment who have signed up for the emails. We see the number of these visitors in the email settings.

You can check this in the double-opt-in settings:

  1. Some of your visitors from the segment are on the blacklist and InSend will not send them emails.
  2. Your segment must not have the "email has any value" condition. Then the visitors who do not have email will also be included in the segment, and when you try to send an email, InSend will show the number of those who have a known email.
