How to Send an Email After Filling Out a Web Form?

Let's dive into the process of automatically sending an email to a visitor after they have filled out the webform and clicked on the "Send!" button. This mechanism is commonly used to send the visitor a promotional code for a discount or a gift (as promised in the widget), or to thank them for subscribing to the emails.

  1. Open the Emails section.

In the Emails section, you can either create your own email or choose and edit one of the pre-made examples. Let's take the simpler route and use a pre-made example as the foundation for our email. You'll find folders with pre-installed email examples that you can utilize. Open the 'Grow Your Email List' folder.

  2. Find and copy the email.

Within the folder, locate the email titled Email #1 after popup "10% Off For the First Order", mark the checkbox on the left, click on 3 dots in the left upper corner and press duplicate. It's need to be done so you can edit the rules of email's sending.

  3. Edit the email.

Now you can customize the color scheme of the email. Make sure to include your coupon code in the email. To modify the text and coupon code, simply click on the text block to enter edit mode. A menu with editing tools will appear above the block, allowing you to adjust the size, alignment, font, text color, and more. Don't forget to include a link to your website for visitors to continue shopping. To do this, click on the 'USE MY CODE NOW' button, and in the pop-up window, copy the URL of your site.

  4. Configure the email settings - the Subscribers step.

First, ensure that the 'Auto-email' type is selected, indicating that the email will be sent automatically upon the specified event. Secondly, define the event triggering the email. Choose 'Sent a web form' from the drop-down list and select the web form itself from the next drop-down list. This web form should be the one offering the visitor a discount on the site. Next, set up the 'From' details for sending the emails. Fill in the sender's name, the sender's email (from your domain), and the subject of the email.

  5. Preview and test the email before sending.

Before sending the email, we highly recommend previewing it to ensure everything is displayed correctly. Additionally, send a test email to your own address using the buttons at the top of the window.

Once everything is ready, go ahead and click the 'Send' button. The email will become active, and emails will be automatically sent to those who filled out and submitted your web form.
